Boulderpaw came racing up to the Sandy River. He looked into the waters, wanting to see his reflection, but all he saw was murk. No fish lived in there! He smiled and dipped his front paw in. The water sent a cool feel up his leg and throughout his body. He closed his eyes and purred. On a hot day like this, that felt amazing.

Spiderpaw was right behind him. He stopped abruptly when he saw the river.
What is this place?It's amazing
He copied Boulderpaw and stuck his paw in. It was very cold. Spiderpaw pulled his paw out fast.
That's cold

[ Yeah, they're both in SpiderClan. I think we should maybe have them cross over the border on accident and then get caught by Brownpaw and Lionpaw. A fight starts up and then Arcticstripe and Silentstorm come to save the day! w00t! The problem is, how to get over to their side? Hm... Maybe Spiderpaw could fall in and start getting swept by the current that is unusually strong today. Boulderpaw jumps in after him and pulls him to saftey on the wrong side. That's when Brownpaw and Lionpaw come in. How's that?
Maybe Spiderpaw should go further into the water and not know there is a drop-off? That's how he falls? Just making suggestions.]
Boulderpaw laughed and looked around him. It was a nice place. Trees surrounded the river from both SpiderClan and RockClan. Once again Boulderpaw stuck his paw in the water and let the other one follow. He stood there, his eyes closed and pelt being warmed by the sun overhead, with his paws letting the water swim around them.
A soft wind tugged at Boulderpaws fur and he noted that that would probably make the current a bit stronger. If one of them were to fall in they'd probably get swept away. He shivered thinking about the cold water pushing his head underneath the water until he sucked in to much water so he couldn't breath. What a horrible death it would be. He instantly pulled his feet out of the water and laughed nervously.

[ That'll work Then Brownpaw and Lionpaw race ahead of Silentstorm on their trip to the Sandy River. They attack the two. Arcticstripe had been looking for Boulderpaw and heard from Thundercall that he was at the Sandy River so she went to look for him. Therefor Silentstorm and Arcticstripe arrive at the same time to pull the cats off each other. ]

[Ok] Spiderpaw mimicked Boulderpaw. It's still cold! He looked surprised. Then he thought, I wanna jump in! So he jumped. The current pulled him under. Before he went under he yowled, HELP!

Boulderpaw would have stopped Spiderpaw if he had had time. He looked around frantically now, and realized nobody would go help Spiderpaw except him. He jumped into the water and paddled as stronly as he could, keeping his head above with every powerful stroke. It was hard to see and it took him a bit to find the figure of Spiderpaw bobbing up and down in the water. He swam over and grabbed the younger apprentices scruff.
The weight of the Spiderpaw instantly pushed Boulderpaw under the water and he thought, No, I can't! He kicked his legs hard and surfaced again. He would have sputtered for breath if Spiderpaws fur wasn't stuffed in his mouth. He swam hard to the shore and climbed up. His fur was soacked and droplets clung to it. He set Spiderpaw down and backed off a bit. He was exhausted and he stood there panting with his head and tail haningdown.
Little did the two apprentices know, they were now on RockClan territory and in danger.
Brownpaw loped along, looking over her shoulder every now and then to see if Lionpaw was following her. A smile lay on her face as she came tumbling up to the river. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the two unfamiliar cats though. She sniffed the air. A faint scent of SpiderClan clung to their dripping fur. She snarled and hissed at them.
What are you doing on RockClan territory?
She didn't wait for them to answer but launched herself into battle, with the power of RockClan behind her. Her claws raked at the larger tom who seemed to have no clue what was going on. He still scratched back though and snarled, curling back his lips like Brownpaw had alreay done. They were soon locked in close battle, leaving the other apprentice for Lionpaw to deal with when he got there.

A large white shape clung to the undergrowth, tail flicking about curiously. Silentstorm watched the young apprentice's act of bravery with admiration. He wouldn't intervene - not yet. The older warrior would wait to see Lionpaw's reaction, if he got there. Where was Lionpaw, anyway? He wasn't worried, though. The tom apprentice would show up sooner or later.
His ears flicked at the thought of the scene in the river with the two apprentices. That was marvelously brave of the one who saved the smaller one. Apprentices were just too good these days, weren't they?
