Graypaw padded flowingly through LightClan's Small Tree Place, enjoying every bit of the world around her. The she-cat flicked her ears forward, letting out a small purr as the warm Greenleaf breeze fluttered through her earfur, whispering the wonders of nature into the she-apprentice's quiet, calmed mind. The pretty female watched as two robins flew pass, chirping their songs. How different life would be, if only I could fly... Graypaw thought. She imagined herself with beautiful, silky white feather wings and how she would soar through the crisp fall air. As the she-cat continued walking, she could almost feel her paws lifting from the bright green blades of grass. Graypaw closed her pale blue eyes as the sun appeared from behind a cloud. It's warm rays brightened the dark, towering forest around her, and she purred as it's golden light caressed her sleek fur with warmth.
Suddenly, all went in shadows. Graypaw's eyes fluttered open. The femme found herself looking into a shadowy forest. Everything around her was bathed in darkness. Where has the sun gone? Graypaw whipped around, tension and fear rising in her throat and along with the fur on her shoulders and tail. A heavy vapor had formed behind the she-cat, transorming into frightening formations and wrapping around her paws and tail. Graypaw could feel the moisture in the mist as it looped around her muzzle and nose. Her ears pinned back on her skull. She wrinkled her nose and bared her teeth, letting a small wisp of air form a hiss behind her tongue. The mist heightened and grew thicker. Her methods were not scaring it away. Graypaw let out scared yowl, fleeing further into the forest. She ran blindly, as Graypaw had no idea where she was going. Where had she entered? The apprentice didn't know. What had happened to LightClan? Graypaw was lost. Where am I? How do I get out? thoughts formed and passed through her mind quickly. Her paws pounded the moist ground. She could feel cool moss on her pads. Just then, the appprentice tripped over a uprooted stone. Graypaw let out a yowl of pain as the pointed stone cut deeply into her foot and as her paw twisted. She landed hard on the ground and Graypaw hit her head badly on a tree branch. The mists appeared again, but only in Graypaw's mind as she faded out of conciousness...
