MOONSHADOW
don’t hate me because i’m beautiful…
hate me because you never will be
And she sat there…in the rain…like a fool.
She hated rain…loathed it in fact. Like a most hated enemy despised the rain with every fiber of her very being…nay, like the mother of a most hated enemy she cursed the very existence of rain and d**ned it and all its wet, cold, and utterly horrid wrath to the crowfoot of StoneClan! But she would not be put off by it, no no no…not Moonshadow! Not this warrior of SpiderClan, not by the hair on her ears would she move from this spot. She was bound and determined to stay right here, right where the wind tore at her pelt and the storm bombarded her with each new torrent of rainwater. She would sit here merely to spite the rain. That’s right, to spite it! A little storm wouldn’t ruin her day, not in the slightest! And whatever StoneClan elder who’s wrath had sent this storm would have to try a lot harder to dislodge her and her calloused mindset.
The sky snarled and rolled with angry thunder and hot lightning flashes as the storm overtook the SpiderClan camp and devoured the land with a vendetta to scourge the world. The trees rocked to and fro as the wind lashed at their branches and pelted the leaves with ceaseless rain causing them to scatter from the trees in flurries of dark green. Above blackened clouds harbored the storm and lit up every so often with internal lightning, illuminating the heavens and the camp in sudden bouts of electric light. All around her things appeared to be in upheavals of chaos as dirt, leaves, and fur billowed all around the ground and from her position directly in the middle of the camp she could see pairs of eyes glowing out from the dens of SpiderClan.
However, even as the storm raged and hissed and spat above like a snarling dog the long haired she-cat merely sat unflinching as the rain sopped her white and gray marred pelt to the skin. Her eyes were slitted in silent annoyance as she gazed somberly out into the expanse of the storm, her ears flattened to her skull. Not so much in anger or frustration but instead weighed down by the water that logged her pelt and fur.
She could feel the glittering eyes that watched her from the shadows of their dens, probably all utterly confused at her actions but by now they really ought to know that such behavior from Moonshadow was nothing to be surprised at. She’d fight and scorn every last element of nature if she so desired and right now she desired to sit in the rain simply to ignore its very existence.
Made sense, no?
But by StoneClan! How she did hate the rain!
.i’m asking you to die for me.
