Silentwind padded among the shadows in the Birch Place, a dark flash in the forest. Her sapphire eyes flickered a neon blue in the gloom. Her pawsteps were silent, and the SweetClan she-cat hoped her apprentice would be able to follow her in the darker, silent forest. This was her first training session with Wasppaw, and Silentwind hoped she wouldn't blow it by messing up -- or losing her apprentice in the forest. The brown tabby she-cat turned around, searching among the peeling white trunks for Wasppaw.

Wasppaw stepped carefully over the ground. She looked odd, bringing up one foot much higher then the other. This was her first time out in the area, and all other places they had been to had been littered with things on the ground that could prick your pads.
At first her eyes stayed glued to her paws, but once she got the motion down she lifted them to look around her. The trees were tall and seemed to have to branches. It didn't seem much like a forest, for there were bright green tufts of grass around the tree and the sky could be seen very easily through the canopy.
Wasppaw instantly decided she liked the place. Without noticing it her paws stopped picking up so high and she started to walk normally. Her dark black fur stood out in the forest and she felt as if she were what the whole place had been waiting for. A slight wind rustled the leaves at the top of the trees and pulled on the grass, as if it was a kit wanting to pull it out.
Wasppaw looked infront of her now. Silentwind was gone! Wasppaw became frantic and ran forward blindly. It was good that Silentwind hadn't been to far ahead. When Wasppaw looked to her right while she was running she caught a glimpse of the tabby fur and raced over, her heart beating. Even thought this place seemed so peaceful, her mother had warned her about the dangers of the outside world when she was young. It wouldn't be nice to get caught by a dirty fox.

Silentwind caught a glimpse of her apprentice out of the corner of her eye and the she-cat stood up, following Wasppaw.
Wasppaw!
She called out, trying to reach the young cat's ears, attempting to get her attention.
WASPPAW!
Now the the SweetClan Warrior was racing through the Birch Place, trying to get to her Apprentice. Wow, she's fast! Wasppaw will be a great asset to SweetClan one day... Silentwind thought.

Wasppaw hearing Silentwind's voice stopped dead in her tracks. She didn't feel like running anymore, her mentor could just find her, it would probably be easier anyways. Wasppaw looked around with squinted eyes for Silentwind. She called out, her voice bouncing off the trees.
I'm over here!
She sat and waited for the warrior to find her. She seemed to be tired of scaring herself, so she didn't do it anymore.

Silentwind stopped and turned around, catching her apprentice's black pelt in a shaft of sunlight. The she-cat turned around a padded over to Wasppaw.
So, are you ready for some training action?
she asked.

Silentwind didn't even wait for her apprentice to answer. The she-cat was probably more excited than Wasppaw to begin training.
Well today, we're going be doing some hunting, and you'll learn the Hunter's Crouch.
Silentwind meowed excitedly, her tail lashing in anticipation.
And after that, if we have the time of course,
she continued.
We'll go to the borders!
This Silentwind yowled as enthusiastically as possible.
