Hawkfeather crouched on the bank of the Dragonfly pond, her long tail snaking through the grass behind her. As she lowered her head to take a drink of the cool, clear water, she caught a glimce of her reflection. Her face was long and a pretty gold. The bridge of her nose had one brown stripe on each side making her look almost like a cheetah. From the corner of her each eye a light brown line went across her cheeks, making her looked dignified. Three singe black stripes rested on her forehead, in the spot between her ears, almost touching her eyes, but not quite. Her chin was a light cream, almost white color, making her looked wiser and more noble then she actually was.
Her appreance was lying. Lying. The only thing that truley expressed how she felt, was her eyes. At first glace, they were just large, pale green orbs. But if you looked closer you could see a person's soul. This is how you know what a person is like. If there eyes show anger, stay away, thought Hawkfeather. If their eyes show kindness and caring, that's someone you can trust, she thought. And if their eyes show you everything you need to know at first glace, that will be a lifelong friend, Hawkfeather thought.
What about me? What would someone see if they looked that deep into my eyes? Could I be trusted? Or would someone turn away? She lowered her head closer to the water so that she could see her eyes more closely. To her dismay, all she saw in them was a spirited young female who just needed a good nights sleep. Now, her head was close enough to the water that some of her whiskers were grazing the surface gracefully. Hawkfeather quickly lapped up some water, soothing her partched throat. Then quickly turning, she left the pond, ripples echoing across the calm surface as if willing her back.

Arcticstripe came up to the pond. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the small ripples in the disturbed water. She glanced up and looked around her. On the wind she caught the scent of another SpiderClan cat. She shrugged. They must have left just as I arrived. She thought. She bent her head and slowly lapped at the water. The soft flapping of billions of Dragonfly wings echoed around her. She liked it, it seemed to calm her a little after that training session with Boulderpaw. After drinking she sat crouching at the water for awhile, her eyes closed. She wanted to take in the sounds, smells and feelings around her. What she didn't want to do was see them. Things seemed more simple when you just closed your eyes for a bit.

Feathersong padded around Dragonfly Pond opposite of Arcticstripe. The Medicine Cat didn't want to disturb her. Out of the blue, a Dragonfly landed on her nose, making Feathersong rear back, landing butt-down on a large twig. It snapped and she looked around to see if Arcticstripe had heard. Oops... the sleek-furred she-cat thought. Feathersong sat up, ridding her brown pelt of moss that clung to her fur.

Hawkfeather looked back over her shoulder at the Dragonfly pond. The Medicine Cat, Feathersong, had just freaked out and sat on a twig. She stopped walking and smiled.

Hawkfeather turned around. Her large ears angled forward. In an causual way, she slowly walked toward Feathersong and layed down a little way off. Stretching her paws infront of her she closed her eyes sleepily. Once again, her black tipped tail snaked through the grass.

Magpiekit cowered out of site and into the ferns, if any of her fellow Clan-mates caught her out here without a warrior, Mirrorstone would be cross with her! Her dragonfly companion returned, hovering beside her shoulder, but darting right and left every so often in the motion like that of a typewriter. She blinked, stretching her neck up to see who had gathered around the lake.
Hawkfeather, Arcticstripe, and Feathersong. She flattened herself to the ground, until the dirt rubbed uncomfortably against her belly fur. Taking in a deep, nervous breath, she took a tentative step backward causing a snap to slice through the silent clearing. Her sapphire gaze shot back to her hind-paws, noticing she had stepped on a dry twig.
"Brilliant." she thought aloud, in the most inaudible of whispers "Mirrorstone's going to kill me.."

Hawkfeather's eyes shot open. Her ears twitched as she gazed around her. Causiously, she got up and padded back to the bank of the water. Looking around, she caught no sight of the one who had made the sound, but she did catch a scent. Magpiekit! Hawkfeather recognized the kit's excited fume. A slight smile streched across her face. Magpie kit reminded Hawkfeather of herself when she was just a kit...

Magpiekit cowered in the long grasses, believing that Hawkfeather had not caught sight of her, cheeks puffing out as she held her breath. Her miniscule dragonfly friend perched on her nose again, causing her to release a loud sneeze. She squeaked in fear, trying to pelt off into the cover of the trees, only to find both of her hindpaws heavily tangled in weeds.
She bristled, expecting Hawkfeather to be very angery with her, and awaited her punishment. Her tail drooped sadly, what if Mirrorstone wouldn't trust her to even be out of the nursery anymore? With all the other kits playing, she'd be bored out of her mind! She looked up at Hawkfeather, sapphire eyes stretched wide.
"You're not going to tell Mirrorstone, are you?"

Arcticstripe lifted her head as she heard Feathersong snap the twig. She flicked her tail, hoping the medicine cat would see the greeting. She then returned to her more napping state.
She didn't even notice Hawkfeather come to the pool, but when Magpiekit snapped the twig her eyes slowly crept open again. This time she got to her paws though. She slowly padded over to Hawkfeather and when she was almost there the small sneeze was heard. Magpiekit, of course shouldn't be out of camp without a warrior. She could get in trouble, but Arcticstripe wasn't sure she was the one that wanted to do it.

Hawkfeather didn't make any movement to signify an answer to Magpiekit (she can't talk). She slowly lowered her head and gently pulled at the weeds that had wound their way around the kit's paws. Once she had successfully pulled them off, she backed up a little ways and looked causually at the kit, her golden fur sparking in the sunlight.

Magpiekit looked nervously up at Hawkfeather, and now, Arcticstripe as well. She flattened her ears against her skull, cowering in fear as Hawkfeather broke the grasses binding her. The black-and-white kit looked up at the two cats, seeing that neither of that had made a move to take her back to camp, be angry with her, or punish her in any way. The dragonfly perched on her forehead, and the glanced up at it, cross-eyed, before verting her gaze back to the two warriors.
She looked from one cat to another, whiskers twitching and she blinked as she realized Hawkfeather's inability to speak. Her playful kit nature kicking in, she began to mimic the she-cat, pretending as though she couldn't speak as she observed the scene around her.

Arcticstripe cleared her throat. It seemed as if she would have to atleast ask the questions, seeing that Hawkfeather could not.
Magpiekit, what are you doing out here without a warrior?
She gazed down at Magpiekit, her expression not stern, but soft and gentle. All she wanted to know was why the kit was not back at camp.

Hawkfeather looked at Arcticstripe as she spoke, then when she finished, she once again looked at the nervous little kit. She knew that Magpiekit was just curious and probably a little bored with the nersury surroundings. Hawkfeather hardly thought that that was a reason to get in trouble for...

A story of complete fantasy was already cooking inside Magpiekit's intelligent, yet young mind, filling her with all possible white lies to give her the benefit of this situation. "There was another kit."
She explained, tail flicking off in the direction of the other side of the pond, notifing the two warriors that he or she had taken off that way.
"Two kits actually." she meowed "A silver-gray one, and a golden-brown one."
the story seemed believable enough to her, so surely, these warriors would not question her theory. The words flowed from her mouth, she had followed the two from camp, curiously because neither smelt of SpiderClan, or any Clan for that matter.
"And they weren't kittypets, and they didn't smell like rogues or loners either. And definately not SweetClan"
she finished, glancing aroudn for her dragonfly friend, who had obviously shot back off across the pond, before returning her gaze to her Clanmates.

Hawkfeather looked at the young kit. Her light emerald eyes full of curiousity. But since she could not speak her mind, the she-cat looked at Articstripe, wondering what the other warrior thought about the situation.
